  14. I have recently bought a Sportster 28.8 external, running Win95 with the 
  15. latest .inf file from USR.
  16. Using the 'compress data' option in the 'advanced' modem setup screen 
  17. the modem hangs after a few minutes of operation. Hitting the disconnect 
  18. button in the closing dialogue box has no effect at that point (Win95's 
  19. modemlog.txt file says 'WARNING: The modem did not respond to 
  20. lowering DTR')
